What we’re looking at now is the waggle.
I recognise that a lot of top tour pros don’t use this. Why I advocate the waggle, is it really is a precursor for the golf swing.
If you see what’s happening as I waggle the club, my hands are actually moving back first.
The club gets dragged back and it’s a waggle. The purpose of the waggle is to free up the wrists.
It’s also very important to start from a position of movement so rather than putting the club down and I see this an awful lot is this where people stand here and stand here and now they’re frozen and then comes a jerky movement on the way back.
So we’re looking at being loose.
You’ll notice that I’m also moving my feet just a little bit.
I’m getting ready to swing the club.
